The MD TECH TEAM is proud to announce the new and improved www.ctsuccess.com.  We were met with a challenge to create a sleek, new and functional website and we had 24 hours to do it. So I called the troops and the MD TECH TEAM got it done!  Everything from the layout selection to the custom graphics we were able to design and develop in a 24 hour turn around.  Anyway I am super excited about the purpose of this site.  The site is to promote upcoming events for Hartford's Young Professionals.  The first event will be hosted by the Hartford Club and was organized by Attorney Corey Brinson and Businessman Earl O'Ogarro.  The first event is entitled "A Celebration of Success" and will be on May 7th, 2011.  Get your tickets now at www.ctsuccess.com and the MD TECH TEAM will see you there!

New online cinema site promotes Connecticut shorts

CTFilmShorts.com, a new website showcasing the best of Connecticut-based short films, has launched online. Located at www.CTFilmShorts.com, this venue will provide Connecticut-based independent filmmakers with a 24/7 global venue. The website will include a blog to keep people up to date on events and screenings concerning the film community in Connecticut, and it will link to news and reviews for the newest Constitution State-based film productions.

The website’s curator, Hadria Douglas, created the website to provide a platform for the many good short films that disappear after running in film festivals.

“Many filmmakers start with short films before going on to features,” says Douglas. “By providing a centralized place where films are viewed, receive feedback and possibly get reviewed, directors will have more incentive to improve their craft as well as gain valuable exposure.  I wish to help strengthen the filmmaking community in Connecticut while showing the wider cinematic community what our state can offer.”

CTFilmShorts.com’s initial line-up of shorts includes Gloria Mundi by Sarah Lasley, Time’s Up by Richard Dobbs and Truly There by Elizabeth Cipollina. The site is also accepting film submissions of all genres by Connecticut-based filmmakers or from productions that were shot in the state.

"As a Connecticut-based indie filmmaker, I'm always looking for venues to showcase my work, and to recommend to friends of mine. CT Film Shorts is a professionally produced, easy-to-navigate site that showcases great films, and focuses on work made in Connecticut. It's got everything I'm looking for." Marty Lang, writer and director
